Floor Series: Rope Handling
Part of our Core Curriculum and the first part of our “Floor Series”! In this class, we will review the foundations and soft skills before diving into how to handle, choose, and use rope! This class focuses on the smooth and efficient handling of rope, teaching techniques to avoid twists, start and finish ties, and create simple yet effective structures. We will show practical exercises, learning how to tie safely and maintain awareness for all involved. Throughout the session, emphasis is placed on building a solid foundation with the basics of rope movement, placement and some of the nuances of how it moves. This will make further techniques much easier to understand.

This queer focused rope night is for all levels and includes a jam / open practice space for those ready to dive right into their practice as well as space for new to rope queers!

The Circle, The Center
This class is open to all experience levels and styles of movement, come as you are with an open mind and open heart. My goal is to guide movement towards pathways of least resistance and most pleasure. Your technique is less important than your experience of the movement. Release your expectations of what dance "should" look like, and dive beneath the surface of what is.We will be moving through a guided improvisational movement score, so move at your own pace, but come ready to move.
